In the final stretch of the Lore & Legends cinematic for Teamfight Tactics Set 16, we needed a set of illustrated storybook moments to guide viewers through different regions of Runeterra. As Creative Director, I stepped in to create the most complex of the pieces: a sprawling view of Bilgewater’s docks filled with lantern-lit markets and layered harbor life. Using our brand’s sketch-forward visual language, I emphasized scale and depth through dense line work and harsh eraser strokes that naturally push distant details into atmospheric perspective. I also included a small hidden tribute within the scene to honor our Director of Creative, who left the team midway through the project.
