"I need to be besties whoever runs this account" a case study in how to build a fandom-facing social media presence that speaks your audience's language.

When I was brought onto the Wonderstorm team, I temporarily became the keeper of our social media. Despite being between seasons for over a year, with little new content to work with outside of partnerships, I achieved a 400% growth in channel engagement through strategic community management and content creation.

I leveraged a deep understanding of the fandom’s unique voice and humor to increase engagement and further define the brand voice. The previous social media manager was known by name so through our regular weekly posting, replies and announcements I was adjusting audience expectation while defining a strong brand character that could be easily taken over by any future social media leads. Staying on top of specifically fandom-relevant trends allowed us to be punchy, timely, and iconic.

Additionally, I utilized my graphic design abilities to create eye-catching visuals for our IP's celebratory moments.

I knew I hit the right tone when I got multiple comments demanding "WHO RUNS THIS ACCOUNT????"
