As Franchise Lead at Wonderstorm, I lead the development of Tales of Xadia: The Dragon Prince Roleplaying Game, a tabletop RPG set in the world of The Dragon Prince that went on to win a 2021 ENNIE Awards. In collaboration with partners including Fandom, Dire Wolf Digital, Cortex Prime, and Genuine Entertainment, I helped guide the project from early development through production, marketing, and retail launch.
Working across international teams, I led regular cross-disciplinary reviews covering story development, art direction, and marketing assets. I organized writers’ rooms to establish new canonical lore for Xadia developed in collaboration with the television writing team, and ensured those decisions remained consistent across the broader franchise. Drawing on my background in writing and illustration, I also provided paintovers and visual references to guide character design and cultural worldbuilding, while editing large volumes of narrative content and contributing supplemental illustrations. The character of Ponmalar is a direct example. After building out the Human Kingdom of Evenere, I requested we redesign the character to feel like a swamp sniper, pulling inspiration from Princess Mononoke's Ashitaka, and hand designing their prostetic leg. That design would then go on to be visual inspiration for the prosthetic leg used by a major character in-series.
The result was a critically acclaimed RPG that expanded the world of Xadia beyond the screen and into player-driven storytelling. I am extremely proud of every detail in this 292-page hardcover book and digital experience, which has become a lore tome for the fandom.
