Creating an award-winning tabletop RPG that expanded the world of Xadia into player-driven storytelling.

As Franchise Lead at Wonderstorm, I led the development of Tales of Xadia: The Dragon Prince Roleplaying Game, an official tabletop RPG set in the world of The Dragon Prince that went on to win a 2021 ENNIE Award. Partnering with Fandom, Dire Wolf Digital, Cortex Prime, and Genuine Entertainment, I guided the project from early development through production, marketing, and retail launch.

I led cross-disciplinary reviews across international teams and organized writers’ rooms to establish new canonical lore for Xadia in collaboration with the television writing team. Drawing on my background in writing and illustration, I supported artists and writers with paintovers, visual references, and editorial guidance while ensuring franchise consistency. One example was the ready-made player character Ponmalar, who allowed one of the few glimpses into the Human Kingdom of Evenere. I encourage our creative team to rethink a typical "archer" aesthetic, leaning into heavy hitting lie-and-wait "sniper" style marksman with a daunting looking bow and arrow set. The concept I drew for their prostatic leg was later used to inspire a similar aid in-series.

The result was a critically acclaimed 292-page lore tome that expanded Xadia beyond the screen into player-driven storytelling.
