Teamfight Tactics Set 16: Lore & Legends celebrated the stories and history of Runeterra, and we anchored the experience around the Convergence’s Grand Library; a place where we can see the wonder of the League of Legends world through the eyes of TFT’s Little Legends.
I led the development of overall identity, motion system and our illustrated key visual, focusing on capturing the energy of your coolest history teacher (shout out to RISD's Daniel Cavicchi) while steering clear of anything that evoked dusty OR musty. To support the scale of the world and the needs of multiple teams, we created a modular identity system of interchangeable logos, champion stamps, filigree, and frames that could flex across marketing verticals and partner activations.
At the time, the Teamfight Tactics team also went through a high level rebrand, specifically regarding their Esports visual identity. We were the first Set to integrate our individual identity with the Esports one, and I led creative decision making around the language we chose to combine for events such as the Tactician's Crown.
Examples below include applications of our brand identity created by a variety of our internal teams and external partners.
